Reference

The lists a spreadsheet is built against: what Import/export can write, what it can do to a value on the way in, and what it stores as settings.

All three are generated from the extension's own code, so they cannot drift away from what the version you installed does.

  • Supported fields: every field Import/export can write, per kind of record, and how the tables a product spans are written in one cell.
  • Transformations: every transformation, what it takes and what it returns.
  • Settings: every setting key, its default and what it does.

Before you read the field list, note that it is your store's, not ours. Import/export reads the columns your database has, so a column another extension added to your product table is mappable even though no list here can name it.

A generated list cannot tell you two things, because they are not lists:

  • What each field means for your catalogue. The reference says a field can be written, and what it is written as. Whether writing it is what you want is your question rather than Import/export's.
  • What happens at the edges: which fields a rollback cannot put back, what a deletion takes with it, and how a name is resolved when two records share one. Limits and guarantees covers all of that, and is the page to read beside this one.
