Reference

The lists a feed is configured against: what each channel asks for, what of your own catalogue you can put into it, how often a feed may regenerate, and everything Product Feed keeps as a setting. Beside them is what an integration may read over the API.

All five are generated from the extension's own code, so they cannot drift away from what the version you installed does.

  • Channels and their fields: every field Google, Meta and Microsoft Advertising ask for, which tier it is in, and what a value has to look like to be accepted.
  • What you can map from: every value of your catalogue a field can take, and which of them are worked out rather than copied.
  • How often a feed regenerates: the cycles a feed's schedule offers, and when the list starts calling a feed overdue.
  • Settings: every setting, whether it is a key in OpenCart's own table or a column of a feed's own record, and what Product Feed fixes on purpose.
  • The API: the two read resources an integration may call, every field and filter on each, and what the promise covers.

Two things those lists cannot tell you, because they are not lists:

  • Whether a field is worth sending. The reference says what a channel accepts in a field and what Product Feed will write there. Whether your catalogue's answer is the right one (whether your model is really what a channel should match on, whether your title reads well cut to 150 characters) is your question rather than Product Feed's. The Fields tab answers it against your own first three products, which is the fastest way to find out.
  • What happens at the edges. What a failed run leaves serving, what the category mapping survives, what a removal leaves behind, and what the price in the file is and is not: all of that is on limits and guarantees, which is the page to read beside this one.

One field is on neither list on purpose: google_product_category. It is not mapped from your catalogue at all, because your categories are placed against Google's taxonomy on the Categories tab and every feed on that store and language sends what you set there.
